The following games are similar to Homescapes in that they all involve the player building a house.

1) Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, the player inherits their grandfather's farm and gains the opportunity to keep it running. The player can plant and harvest, fish, mine and participate in social activities. There are many different events that the player can participate in, as well as the opportunity to build up a relationship with the player's spouse.

2) Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a game where the player lives in a town filled with animals. The player must perform tasks for the people in town, pay off debts, and attempt to make their house a home. Like in Stardew Valley, the player can take part in social activities and work to improve their relationship with the player's spouse.

3) The Sims 4

Unlike the previous games, The Sims 4 is not a farming game. Players live out their lives in a world where every character is alive and must stay happy. This game requires more micromanagement than Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and is more of a life simulator than a home building game.

4) Build-A-Lot

Build-A-Lot is a game in which the player creates a town filled with houses, stores, and other buildings. They must then manage the town by gathering money to fund development. The player can also raise a family and have children.
